The Palestinian Authority yesterday hailed the end of Sri Lanka’s war on terrorism, saying that it would usher in an era of peace and prosperity in a united Sri Lanka.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki in a letter to his Sri Lankan counterpart Rohitha Bogollagama conveyed the Palestinian people’s heartfelt congratulations to the Sri Lankan government.
While thanking President Mahinda Rajapaksa for his continued support for the Palestinian cause, Mr. Malki said he hoped a day would dawn soon when the people of Sri Lanka and Palestine would be able to celebrate together the declaration of an independent Palestinian state. |
