For the 3rd consecutive time, Palm Beach Hotel is teaming up with Annesley Malawana for yet another family event synonymously titled ‘Sing-along with Annesley’.
Palm Beach hotel is in the forefront not only catering to the young crowd but also to the entire family where parents could bring their children along and enjoy a light evening of entertainment.
‘The last ‘Sing-along concert with Annesley’ was a roaring success and the party went late in to the night. The crowd of 300 had a wonderful time singing and dancing to the enchanting music of the Super Chimes. The parents had a carefree evening with their children well looked after by the event animators’ said Ravin Gunawardena, the General Manager of the Hotel.
The new event is scheduled to be held on the June 13, starting from 7.00pm. and will be hosted at the pool side or at the banquet hall depending on the weather condition.
The special feature in this event is that it falls on Annesley’s birthday. The Sing-along will feature Annesley and his popular band the ‘Super Chimes’, specialized in old time hits of the sixties and seventies from Moon Stones era to the Super Golden Chimes days. Annesley who has performed in many Sign-along sessions in Colombo and outstations has a wealth of experience in keeping the audience entertained by inviting the guests to sing along with him.
The Super Chimes comprises of Channa Athalagay on lead guitar, Prashan Fernando on bass, Dilip Fernando on keyboards and Asha Fernando on drums.
The evening will have a hawker’s street atmosphere, where the revellers can enjoy a variety of Asian and Western flavours. The hawkers will sell items such as crispy egg hoppers and spicy kottu rotti, and fried rice to pizzas. For kids, a special food corner with ice-cream, mini pizza and many more will be available. The entrance tickets are priced at 750/- per head. |
