Cinema artistes together with the National Film Corporation (NFC) wished happy birthday to veteran actress Iranganie Serasinghe at a special function held on her 82nd birthday.
A number of well-known actors and actresses, media personnel and NFC Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa and other officials came to NFC premises on June 9 to wish the veteran actress who has won international acclaim for her performances.
Among the other participants at the event were veteran director Sumithra Peries, Malani Fonseka, Nita Fernando, Robin Fernando, Sriyani Amerasena, Ravindra Randeniya, Sanath Gunatilaka, Cletus Mendis, Yashoda Wimaladharma, NFC Deputy General Manager, Nadeeka Gunasekara and Advisor T. M. Sangadasa.
At this event actress Sriyani Amerasena and actors Ravindra Randeniya and Robin Fernando whose birthdays fall during the month of June also joined Iranganie to cut the cake.
