‘Karuwala Gedera’, the popular teledrama sponsored by Sri Lanka’s pioneer herbal based personal care company Swadeshi won eight awards at the recent Raigam Tele Awards.

The awards included Best Direction, Best Production, Best Actor, Best Script Writer, Best Art Director, Best Make Up Artist, Best Cameraman and a special talent award.

Swadeshi last year won approbation from the ‘Kala Vimansa Ekamuthuwa’, an association of artistes for its role as a sponsor of this teledrama. Among the other award-winning teledramas sponsored by the company are ‘Mahathala Hatana’ and ‘Saradiel’.
The company manufactures and markets many leading brands including the top herbal soap brand Khomba Herbal and the heritage beauty soap brand Rani Sandalwood. |
