World Childrens Day
School children participated in a perahera, organised by Rupavahini Corporation, to celebrate World Children’s Day on October 1. The perahera wound up at Independence Square, where the children performed several song and dance items

The Department of Probation & Child Care Services (Western Province) organised a full day programme to celebrate World Children’s Day. Children from 80 children’s homes in the Western Province participated in the activities.
