Isabel
kills Lankan youth
A 27-year-old Sri Lankan graduate living in Virginia, USA was among
more than 20 people killed when hurricane Isabel hit the the US
east coast recently.
Arubinda Deraniyagala

Virginia. On that fateful day Aurbinda and his brother Neil were
anxious to find out what was happening as the hurricane hit the
area. While gale-force winds were lashing out the brothers stepped
out to see the destruction.
No one expected
that this young life would be snatched away so cruelly. Arubinda
carrying a large umbrella was blind to a crashing tree . He was
crushed to death as the massive tree trunk virtually buried him
alive.
