A 199-run fifth wicket stand between Marvan Atapattu (107) and Chamara
Silva (106) helped SSC to set the stage for an outright victory
over Galle CC at Braybrooke Place yesterday.
Attapattu hit
10 boundaries and two sixes while Chamara Silva overshadowed his
senior partner hitting 15 boundaries and a six as SSC declared at
329 for 7 wickets.SSC who were at one stage on 81 for 4 wickets
recovered through the entertaining partnership between Atapattu
and Silva.Both batsman flayed the Galle bowlers who toiled all day
on a placid wicket. Trailing by 190 runs Galle CC were 34 for no
loss by the close
