Apollo Hospital, Colombo continues ‘excellent’ medical service

Following the recent change in ownership of the Lanka Hospitals Corporation, the new ownership of the company said last week that throughout the course of this major transformation, the operation of the hospital has endeavoured to remain true to its high level of consistent patient care.

“All through its existence, the number one priority of the Lanka Hospitals Corporation has been to provide its patients with the very best healthcare and medical services. Despite the recent change of ownership, Lanka Hospitals Corporation Limited (LHCL) reassures the public that this priority continues to hold true,” it said in a statement.

The newly appointed Lanka Hospitals board comprises Ajit Jayaratne (Chairman) and Udayasiri Kariyawasam (Deputy Chairman), Harry Jayewardene, Damien Fernando, Royle Jansz, Chaminda De Silva, Dr. Buddhadasa Kaluarachchi, and Suresh Paranavithana.

Lanka Hospitals (formerly owned by Apollo Group, India) recently added to its lengthy list of groundbreaking surgeries by successfully performing a highly complex open heart surgery on a new born baby weighing merely 1.8kgs.

As in the case of any hospital, its success rests in the hands of the medical and non medical staff responsible for all aspects of the hospitals operations.

The medical experts, highly skilled nursing staff, technologists and administrators with over four years of experience at this hospital, continue to provide a congenial and reliable atmosphere while offering Sri Lanka with the most superior healthcare on par with international standards.
