The rulers of this land held sway over the people and land of their own island and well into Europe and Africa.
As is the norm these days controversy goes hand in hand with rugby. This time around it is the Asian Games. A 22 member squad was selected. Questions are also being raised as to why the new squad was picked given Sri Lanka’s impressive display at the Singer International Sevens.
The Sri Lankan team fell with a thud at the Champions Trophy, unable to reach the last four. They have had time to dust off the memories and reflect on the experience. There is no doubt that the coach, the captain and the team would have analyzed the events that occurred and what went wrong.
