‘Dingiri Menika’ to herald 60th Anniversary of Sri Lankan Cinema

January 21, 2007 marks the 60th Anniversary of Sri Lankan Cinema. The National Film Corporation and Kala Lanka Padanama has organised a felicitation for a veteran actor Joseph Seneviratne with a free screening of 'Dingiri Menika' at Elphinstone Theatre at 10 am.

Mr. Seneviratne is in the main cast in 'Dingiri Menika' directed by attorney S. D. S. Somaratne based on Piyadasa Sirisena's detective novel. It was produced by A. S. A. Sam and the organisers including the Chairman of Kala Lanka Padanama, T. M. Sangadasa invites every one to witness this rare occasion by coming to Elphinstone theatre on January 26.
