Sri Lanka in the limelight at Intel Solutions Summit

At the Intel Solutions Summit (ISS) held in New Zealand recently, the limelight was stolen by the Sri Lankan delegation who were part of Intel’s annual channel partners based in Asia.

Held in Auckland from April 11-13 the event gave Intel’s top channel customers and partners in Asia Pacific and China an opportunity to learn about new innovative platforms and technologies and the significant business opportunities presented by them.

Indika De Zoysa, Regional Manager Intel Sri Lanka said, “Sri Lanka’s performance at the ISS exceeded all expectations - stamping the mark of this small island in the international forum. The achievement was no mean feat considering the comparative strength and numbers of many of the other contingents attending the summit.”

He said Sri Lanka was blessed with an intellectual capital that could be made internationally competitive with such advantages as a widespread learning culture, high language skills and an effective free education system that could be transformed to deliver the requirements of the digital age.The team included representatives from Neat Technology, E-Globe Solutions, PC House, Barclay’s Trading, E-sys Distributors and Kobian Technology, Intel said in a press release.

Kobian Technologies was recognized for “Outstanding Leadership in Demand Creation Initiative” at the Auckland summit.

The ISS was an opportunity for Sri Lankan companies to network with other Intel partners and Team Members from the region, with over 500 channel customers and representatives of partner companies in attendance.
