Hemas awards development of intelligent ASD solution to Pyxle

Hemas Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd., Sri Lanka’s largest pharmaceuticals distributor, picked Pyxle (Pvt) Ltd to design, develop and implement an Automated Sales and Distribution System (ASDS), with inventory, accounts, billing and business intelligence tools.
A first in the country in terms of complexity and scope, this turn key solution will comprehensively automate Hemas’ extensive distribution network and be a cost saving exercise with a complete return on investment, the software developer said in a statement.

Hemas Pharmaceuticals is Sri Lanka’s top pharmaceutical distribution company and is associated with over 30 world-renowned pharmaceutical manufacturers, and operates the largest sales distribution network in Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies, Anil Nambuwasam Director Sales of Hemas Pharmaceuticals said: “This project will help streamline internal sales and distribution policies as well as the distribution system. Hemas represents many international brands, and acts as a distributor to these foreign pharmaceutical companies who want to continuously monitor the sales and distribution of their brands in Sri Lanka. Pyxle’s redistribution systems software will enhance our distribution system efficiency.” Pyxle is a Colombo-based software and content development company which specialises in product based IT development for the retail goods, apparel, tourism and commodities sectors in Sri Lanka.

The company is currently under negotiation to expand its product portfolio and development services to regional countries.
