Galle landmarks sans signboards

By Lionel Leanage, Ambalangoda

On my way by bus last week to Karapitiya, in the Galle district, I noticed there were no signboards indicating the whereabouts of the Karapitiya (Teaching) Hospital and the Medical College, Galle, after the Gintota turn-off, which is the shortest route to these two important institutions in Galle
At present, there is only one signboard, KALEGANA – 3 KMS, at the Gintota turn-off. This board may not be up for long.

It was tilting backwards when I saw it, and may fall off completely over the next couple of weeks.
