Junior Chamber International Sri lanka, Colombo formally known as Colombo Jaycees will hold their 54th Annual General Meeting today at 6.30pm at the Colombo Jaycee Secretariat 108/10, Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 7.
Father of Jayceeism in Sri lanka , Late JCI Senator Sam Wimalasekera was the founder of the Chapter. He was instrumental in brining Jayceeism to Sri lanka.
Being the pioneer chapter of the Jaycees movement in the country, JCI Srilanka, Colombo is the first chapter to have their own secretariat in Sri Lanka. Incidentally this is also the first ever Secretariat in the Asian region.
For decades the chapter has provided opportunities for many individuals to groom themselves into outstanding personalities and achieve their aspirations and will continue to do so in the future as well.
The chapter has also groomed some outstanding people who later became leaders in their chosen fields. The movement has provided training to thousands of people to polish and harness their skills keeping in line with their aim of proving leadership training.
The Chief Guest at the AGM will be the National President for 2008 JCI Sen Niroshan Silva who also happens to be the Past President of Human Resource Professionals.
Under the able leadership of Sen Niroshan, Junior Chamber Int'l Sri Lanka has gone from strength to strength.
The Incoming President of Colombo Chapter Jc Malarvili Anton is The District Chairperson for Sight with the Lions Club International Dist 306C2.
She is an entrepreneur and an All Island JP. while as she is known among the Lions and Jaycees as a very persevering person. JCISL Colombo is looking forward to a very fruitful year under the Presidentship of Jc Malarvili.
