The INGRIN Institute of Printing and Graphics will conduct an awareness seminar for school leavers on career development in Computer Graphics, Information Technology and Printing Technology on Saturday, 3rd January 2009. This Seminar will help students to understand the Job Opportunities available in the above fields and study programs for higher studies in Sri Lanka as well as abroad.
Printing and Graphic Designing is an area where there are many job opportunities with a high salary. There is a very high demand for people trained in this area locally and abroad.
The objective of INGRIN Institute of Printing and Graphics is to educate and train the new generation in modern technology, thereby prepare them to foreign and local employment. The INGRIN Institute of Printing and Graphics Sri Lanka was set up in association with the INGRIN Foundation the Netherlands, Sri Lanka Printers Association, The Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging, International Advertising Association and Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB). Presently we are under the Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training.
During the past 14 years INGRIN had educated over 14,000 students in the field of Printing and Graphics Communication. INGRIN is well known in the graphic media industry locally and internationally and as a result of that there are foreign students enrolling in our institute Many INGRIN graduates have found high paying jobs abroad.
In the seminar we will give an orientation in Printing and Graphic Designing, vector graphics, multimedia, 3D Animations, Web Development and qualification to be acquired to become managers in the Print Media Industry. Both, students and parents are encouraged to participate in this seminar, as it would help them to understand how they should approach the Job Market and how they can make themselves qualified to enter into it. It is known that there is a high demand for printing related jobs in Middle-East, Australia and New Zealand. After completing printing courses at INGRIN there will be an opportunity to find a proper job abroad.
