Ceylon Tea Trails, the world’s first integrated tea bungalow resort, has been featured in National Geographic magazine’s latest compilation of ‘Journeys of a Lifetime: The World’s Greatest Trips. Ceylon Tea Trails, managed by Forbes & Walker Leisure and connected by walking trails situated within Bogawantalawa Tea Estates in Hatton, as well as Sri Lanka’s tea estates were featured in a select list of the World’s Greatest Gripes under the category of ‘In Gourmet Heaven’.
In a press release, Forbes & Walker said the category highlighted journeys that ‘seek out a world of flavours’ ranging from tea, whiskey, coffee and more. Co-founder and Group CEO/Managing Director of Forbes & Walker Thilan Wijesinghe said this is a remarkable achievement for a Sri Lankan resort and destination to be featured in such a prestigious publication. The CEO of Forbes & Walker Leisure Dominique Nordmann explained that the service concept is based on delivering ‘experiences’ ranging from walks, picnics, mountain biking, white water rafting, ‘everything you’ need to know about tea and of course, great food.
