The disorganized manner in which pharmaceuticals are imported and distributed sometimes results in lives being lost whereas these could be saved by innovative and wonder medicine available in overseas markets, said Prasanna Jayamanna, Chairman/CEO, DPJ Holdings at a press conference in Colombo to mark the company’s 10th anniversary and the launching of a new logo.
Mr Jayamanna said that these drugs and medicine could cure some serious diseases, but because there is no streamlined method to import them, some lives cannot be saved.
He said that to mark the 10th anniversary of their company they plan to import these drugs and added that Sri Lanka is blessed with highly professional and competent medical personnel. There are also world-class theatres and medical laboratories, where with these drugs, millions of rupees could be saved by treating patients in Sri Lanka instead of ending them abroad for treatment.
DPJH which commenced operations in 1999 says it is now a leading player in diverse areas of businesses – DHJH Solutions, DPJH Labels, DPJH Time Track, Go Getter, Go Leisure and Flexiv, and now pharmaceuticals, all operating under one brand. |
