Four senior directors have quit at the Hayleys Group since May this year amidst a culture change at the once-conservative group, stock market sources said.
On November 12, Ananda Hettiarachchi, Managing Director, Haycarb sent in his resignation with effect from February 2010. He is the fourth executive director, and currently the second most senior director after Group Chairman Mohan Pandithage to make such an announcement in recent months.
Earlier Richard Ebell, senior director resigned in October while T.S.M. P. Perera, in charge of the fibre sector, retired in May 1. Former Chairman N.G. (Tanky) Wickremaratne retired in June and was replaced by Mr Pandithage.
