The Sri Lankan government is in the process of evaluating the submissions made by the consortium in the Colombo Port Expansion Project on the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement.
Informed government sources told the Business Times this week that the China Holdings Merchant International and Aitken Spence Shipping consortium has made its submissions to the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee (CANC) last week.
The CANC has referred the submissions to the Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) to study the proposals made by CHMI/AS.
The CANC has already accepted the US$150 million net present value financial bid submitted by the consortium in late October 2009 by following several rounds of negotiations. |
