The Ethics Review Committee (ERC) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo has been awarded the SIDCER Recognition after a rigorous process of scrutiny and visit by the Forum for Ethics Review Committees in Asia and the Western Pacific Region (FERCAP).
This ERC, the first to be established among the universities in the country in 1981, has been reviewing research proposals in a systematic manner since then.
FERCAP which is recognized by the World Health Organization grants this Strategic Initiative for Development of Capacity in Ethics Review (SIDCER) Recognition. |
