Adding yet another successful chapter to its already impressive record book Academy of Management Education - better known as AME - in the CIMA November 2009 examination scored high yet again with 3 of AME students emerging victorious over many a hundred of other Sri Lankan students. AME thus proved once again the existence of an ideal study environment and the superior lecturing capabilities of its team of lecturers led by Mr. M. M. M. Tariq.

Successful tutors make successful students

Successful students are usually the products of successful tutors. Thus in the CIMA Annual Awards 2009 Tutor of The Year category Mr. Tariq was highly commended by the judges showering praise on him for the impressive manner of his use of varied teaching methodology, including cartoons and mind maps etc that inspire and motivate students.

Winners and their achievements

Winners, Mr. Charith Mendis emerged 1st in Sri Lanka in the Financial Analysis (P8) paper, whilst Ms. K. Ariyalingam and Ms. Thiviya Dashindaran emerged joint 1st in Sri Lanka in Financial Accounting and Tax Principles (P7) paper.

Mr. C. Mendis was all praise for the well-focused and systematically organized lectures of Mr. Tariq where mock exams were held with revision programmes. Ms. Ariyalingam valued the excellent teaching methods adopted by Mr. Tariq which paved the way to success for students. Ms. Dashindaran responded to her success by emphasizing on the superb presentation skills of Mr. Tariq that helped create an uninterrupted vision in the minds of the students.

Mr. Charith Mendis

Mr. Tariq, is a well focused and organized lecturer in terms of his subjects, especially focusing the whole subject from the beginning and completing it in a very planned manner, especially a continuing stream of mock exams and revision programmes and covering the past paper questions relevant to that particular topic then and there.

Miss Kalaivathany Ariyalingam

I am a bio-student, a quite different field to CIMA, at the time I won the prize. This is a rare feat achieved by a student in a different field to accounting. Whatever field you are Mr. Tariq's teaching methods help all students to achieve success.

Miss Thiviya Dashindaran

Mr. Tariq is undoubtedly one of the best lecturers I have come across in my life. Mr. Tariq is able to capture the audience with his superb presentation skills, and the whole lecture flows through creating an uninterrupted vision in the minds of the students. Mr. Tariq is an outstanding lecturer who has experience of more than 10 years. He has committed himself to the maximum in delivering the best to the students.

Free official text books

CIMA Faculty written and recommended text book for core reading amongst other free official text books are given to the students thus helping them specifically prepare to pass their exam first time itself.
Other facilities

We are an accredited CBA exam centre for the Certificate in Business Accounting level. This helps our students to sit for it within their usual premises. In-house car park, canteen, resource centre, study area and ample space for free movement of students are available.
