Dinner to celebrate 175th anniversary of Royal College

As part of the celebrations to mark the 175th anniversary of Royal College, a formal dinner will be held on Saturday, March 6 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel exclusively for Old Royalists and their spouses.
The evening commences with pre-dinner cocktails followed by a formal sit-down dinner at which the school, its history and heritage will be toasted and recounted.

An after-party has been organized by the hotel which will be held at the Sequel. The Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka will perform at the celebratory dinner whilst the college choir will be in attendance at the pre-dinner cocktails. Tickets are priced at Rs. 7,500 per head and are available at the Royal College Union office.

Celebrations will be held right throughout the year to mark the school's 175th anniversary including a special general assembly being held this month which will be graced by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Other events include a special all-night pirith ceremony, the setting up of an indoor stadium and the releasing of a first day cover designed by the college students amidst many others to commemorate Royal College's 175th anniversary.
