Here at the University of Glamorgan we always put our students first. Our teaching, learning and leisure facilities are all tailored to give you an extraordinary experience. We are one of the top ten new universities in UK (The Guardian League Tables) with more than 21,000 students from all over the world, flexible study options and teaching excellence in more than a dozen areas from drama and music to business, computer science and engineering.
Glamorgan has 200 courses available, outstanding graduate employment rates and is investing £140 million into its facilities, so there's no better time to study at Glamorgan!
What's on offer?
Glamorgan is based across three campuses: ATRiuM, a new centre for creative and cultural industries, in Cardiff; and Treforest and Glyntaff, both near the busy market town of Pontypridd. Cardiff is young, lively and fun while Treforest is the traditional face of Wales - friendly people, green hills and country pubs. With its fantastic location, you can enjoy the buzz of Cardiff, the mountains of Brecon or the surfing off the Welsh coastline - it's a great place to be a student!
Living on campus at Treforest means you can work and study in one place. Our students say they love the community atmosphere, and it's great to be just 20 minutes from Cardiff. In 2007 the University opened ATRiuM, a state-of-the-art campus for our Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries Faculty - a fantastic creative hub in the heart of the capital.
The £35 million development is a hub for all things creative and cultural and is a real landmark for the capital city. The School brings together the creative disciplines within the University of Glamorgan, including Art and Design, Media and Communication and Drama and Music. In this high-tech teaching and learning facility, likeminded individuals from a broad range of subject areas can work together in an exciting environment geared to sharing expertise.
Exciting developments are also happening at our Pontypridd campus where our Law school is now located in impressive new accommodation which includes a mock courtroom where mock trials take place. As part of a £120m investment in our facilities, health, sport and science students will study in brand-new faculties from this September. These state-of-the-art labs and equipment will be in the renovated Grade II listed building on our extended Glyntaff campus. Our 30 acre playing fields are some of the best in Wales and are used by the world's major football and rugby teams.
Our flexible teaching and learning methods mean you can tailor your course to meet your interests and career aspirations. You could even combine subjects to literally 'design your own degree'.
