A very maturely constructed century by Dinesh Chandimal helped Sri Lanka beat India and led them to an unceremonious exit from the tri-nation series here on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 269, Sri Lanka finished the game at 270 for 4 with ten balls to spare.
Chandimal made 111 runs made in 118 balls of batting with six fours and five sixes.
Earlier the Lankan openers T.M. Dilshan and Upul Tharanga built a 52-run partnership at give the Lankans a lively start.
Thereafter , Chandimal continued with Kapugedera who kept perfect company to Chandimal and scored a fantastic 42 runs before losing his wicket.. Their pair put on 114 runs for 3rd wicket.
At the end of innings new comer Jeewan Mendis 35 not out and veteran Thilan Samaraweera had added 55 runs for the 5th wicket.
