The grand finale of HSBC’s Got Talent, the first ever reality talent show organised by the bank for its staff was recently held at the BMICH amidst much glitz and glamour. The show was solely organised by bank staff supported by the popular duo Bathiya and Santhush.
The event consisted of three main categories, solo, band/ instrumental and open which gave staff an equal opportunity to audition in their preferred category.

Damien Fernando of the Advance Sales Team, who put on a stunning performance won the solo category. Team Kaleidoscope of the Collections Department having displayed their versatility through a spectacular drumming performance was named winners in the band/instrumental category and the open category was won by Aravinthon of the Collections Department, whose astonishing yet unique performance themed “short man” made everyone’s hearts skip a beat.
Dextor Bacho from Advance Sales was awarded 1st runner up in the solo category, while Team Spartacus made up of Collections, Branches, Service Delivery and Call centre staff and Show Stoppers of Sales, Admin and Corporate Real Estate were named 1st runners up in the band/instrumental and open categories, respectively.
Sassanka Attanayake and Natalie Devadawson of Call Centre emerged 2nd runner up in the open category. Both, Kishani De Alwis and Rozette Fernando of Union Place branch and Risk Analysis Unit, were named 2nd runners up in the solo category whilst “Me and We” of Collections/Recoveries were chosen from the band/instrumental category.
The judges for the evening were Soundarie David, Maxi Rozairo, Ranil Goonawardena and Dushyanth Weeraman. |
