AIBA and the 12 Month MBA are accredited within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and are internationally recognized. AIBA's 12 month MBA programme is available at the Adelaide campus, via distance learning and through more than twenty approved Teaching Centres in over ten countries. The Oxford College of Business in Sri Lanka is one of AIBA's approved Teaching Centres delivering the 12 Month MBA via face to- face interactive workshops at their Thurstan Road campus.
The 12 month MBA is offered as one subject per month. This means that students need to focus on just one subject at a time, in addition to their usual personal and professional obligations. The fact that the examination is just a month away from the start of each subject has contributed to high completion rates, as the students are continuously motivated.
MBA Examination
The MBA faculties have distinguished academic backgrounds and relationships to the corporate world, bringing years of experience to the classroom. The faculty selected to the programme is noted scholars, and industry experts who conduct and publish research. They pride themselves on practical business expertise, having held positions of leadership in companies throughout the world. The lecturers of the faculty are selected from AIBA and hold either a doctorate degree or an MBA equivalent in their field of specialty.
Commenting on this, Joel Abraham, Marketing Director of the Gibaran Learning Group, Australia, said, "The MBA is the world's most popular postgraduate degree which is often seen as a passport to a management career. AIBA's 12 month MBA is tailor-made for the busy professional and is successfully delivered all over the world. AIBA has stringent quality control procedures in place to ensure all our Teaching Centres adhere to Australian standards and practices. All exams are set up and marked in Australia and the course content is delivered in Sri Lanka by an Australian approved panel of lecturers."
Upul Daranagama, Director of the Oxford College of Business, Sri Lanka, further states, "The Oxford College of Business is delighted to offer AIBA's MBA programmes with specialisations available in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management and Finance. Students also have the option of undertaking a generic MBA which is by far the most popular choice.
Not only will our students obtain the knowledge of how people and processes operate within organizations and the wider environment affecting those organizations, but also advance their careers and have the chance to climb the corporate ladder quicker than their peers. Students also have the option of transferring to Australia in order to complete their MBA. The AIBA affiliation extends even after the completion of the MBA as the Alumni in Sri Lanka play a strong and active role, enabling our graduates to continue their learning path."
