Informatics Institute of Technology offers the BEng (Hons) Software Engineering and BSc (Hons) Business Information Systems in collaboration with the University of Westminster, UK.
It is a requirement that all students in the final year undertake a research project. "Cutting Edge" is an annual exhibition which showcases innovative state-of-the-art IT and Business solutions researched and developed at Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT). Selected final year projects as well as the other research work of the students following the Foundation course at IIT and the undergraduate students of year 1 and year 2 are exhibited at this event.
Cutting Edge 2010 was held on June 18 and 19 at IIT premises. A multitude of software engineering projects spanning a range of topics which fall into the categories of Surface Computing, Web Services, Multimedia, Mobile Applications, Artificial Intelligence and Embedded Systems were exhibited.
The British Computer Society was invited to judge the best projects that were presented at the exhibition. Virtusa Corporation awarded the trophies for Academic Excellence.
The business projects spanned a range of topics which fall into the categories of Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Management Information Systems, E-commerce, Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) and Health Care. Experts from the field of business were invited to judge the best projects that were presented at the exhibition. |
