The Quiz Competition 2010 organized by the Commerce Union of Wesley College which was held on June 22 was a huge success, where 26 leading schools in Colombo participated. The event commenced with the arrival of the invited school representatives and guests. Following the welcome speech given by Ryan Sela the president of the Commerce Union, Mr. Ahamed Riza (manager at Ernst and Young) the chief guest delivered an inspiring speech on his career and success.

The representatives of the invited schools were tested mainly on Commerce subjects, Business Studies, Economics and Accounting and a competitive atmosphere was created by them throughout the whole event. After a fierce battle, Musaeus College and Nalanda College went into the final round which was conducted orally. Finally after an exciting final round Musaeus College emerged as the champions of the Wesley College Quiz competition 2010.
Trophies and certificates were awarded to Musaeus College the winners, Nalanda College the 1st runners up and Royal College the 2nd runners up. These trophies and certificates were handed over by Dr. Shanti Mclleland Principal of Wesley College and the chief guest Mr. Ahamed Riza. Participation certificates were also distributed to all the other participants by Mr. Dilshan Perera head of Commerce events and Mr. Palitha Fernando the.
sectional head of the Commerce and Arts stream, and Mr Palitha Fernando's completion of 25 years of long dedicated teaching career was also celebrated at this event by the gifting of a token of appreciation. The event was made colourful with a few presentations and entertainment items performed by our own Wesleyites.
