 The lady’s slipper is always a dangerous thing. A pretty lass and a lad approached a big shot at the Citadel who is in charge of tenders… for a deal. The big shot had decided that he will talk things out only with the lass (a pretty one at that) and he kept the boy out of the talks. The man had even asked the girl for a date and had tried to be amorous with her. That is when the pretty one decided to take her slipper to hand. This is not the first time that this guy has been known to court pretty ladies. It is now said that he will think twice when he approaches another beauty next time.
The tale of the donkey and the dog
There is a tale that the donkey should not do the dog’s work. This came to light at a recent netball tournament where Sri Lanka grabbed second spot. The lady in question was busy keeping the ministering angel of the results in India … only if Sri Lanka won. This became a nuisance to the ministering angel as this lady, who at one time occupied a top slot in the sport, was calling at all times to keep the ministering angel informed of the victories, mind you only victories, in India.
 Staggering paper bill
The secretary of a leading man at the Citadel is having her bills of the newspapers she receives footed by the Citadel itself. The talk in the town is that her paper bill alone at home came to a staggering Rs. 6,000. How the fortunate live!
Another top post for this man
The cat is out of the bag! The man who was running things at the Citadel is to be removed and he has made constant appeals to the Big One requesting that he should be kept at the Citadel at all costs. But the Big One has made up his mind and the man who was running things temporarily at the Citadel has got his notice despite the fact that he has visited the Big One with his better half, on many occasions. Now it is being speculated that the man who was running things at the Citadel is to get another big post. Oh what it is to be influential!
Only ladies please
A certain individual who is at the top of athletic events that is veteran and who is also supposed to be a very holy and devout man, has requested a bevy of beauties for interviews at a leading five star hotel, to be sent abroad for events connected with athletics. The question doing the rounds is that how come only pretty ladies are interviewed for these posts?
Staggering phone bill
A top official at the Citadel has staggered officials with a staggering telephone bill which amounts to Two and a half Lakhs, closer to Three Lakhs, it is said. It is being wondered as to whom that this big wig has been talking to? |
