Bens take U13 title

St. Benedict's College under 13 Hockey team emerged champs at the Western Province Schools Tournament when they beat Ananda College by 1 goal to nil in the finals played at Wesley College Grounds. Bens scored the winning goal through the stick of Sharon Fabian.

On their way to the finals, Bens beat Royal College 4-2 (Penalty Strokes) in the semi finals, Prince of Wales College Moratuwa 2 nil, Nalanda College 1 nil, Isipathana College 1 nil and drew with Ananda College 0-0 in the group stage.
