Puts "Sri Lanka Inc." on the global map

Smart Media - The Annual Report Company became world champions recently when they clinched the platinum award at the 24th International ARC Awards in New York.

The company became the first company outside the USA, UK and Continental Europe to achieve global champion status. These awards popularly dubbed as the Oscars of annual reports, was held amidst a large gathering of top corporate executives from the Fortune 500s, FTSE 100s and other top companies from across the globe, a spokesman for the compnay stated from New York on Friday night shortly after the awards presentation.

Among the attendees were Sri Lanka's Ranjith Pandithage, Eastman Narangoda, Sarath Ganegoda, Nalaka Edirisinghe and Yohan Soza. Dr. Vijith Kannangara making his acceptance speech, invited the audience to visit Sri Lanka and explore the many exciting investment opportunities the country has to offer. He cited Smart Media's Platinum Award and the 41 awards that his clients from Sri Lanka won that night, as a quality index of "Sri Lanka Inc." and an indication of prospects in store for those doing business with Sri Lanka.
