Mobitel - Sri Lanka Telecom’s Mobile Service Provider has rolled out a total capital expenditure plan worth $30 million to expand its network in the North-East over the next two years, a senior official of the company said.
The company has spent US$5million to provide coverage to the A-9 highway, which provides a direct route to Jaffna. He revealed that Mobitel hoped to have its network up and running, although much would depend on when the Ministry of Defence vacated its network spectrum.
