Two Bills, no-faith motion in House on Thursday

Parliament will debate the No-Confidence motion against External Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris in Parliament on Thursday.

Parliament will also debate the Civil Aviation Bill as well as an amendment to the Provincial Councils (Amendment) Bill.

The new Civil Aviation Bill makes provision for the regulation, control and related matters of civil aviation as well as gives effect to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. The Provincial Council Bill is amended to give three months to PCs to table their annual financial statements at the end of the financial year instead of the one month they have now.
