The National Trade Union Federation recently conducted an awareness programme to commemorate 'World Decent Work Day' which fell on October 7, at its headquarters at Rajagiriya.
The federation comprised the Lanka Jathika Estate Workers Union, Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya, National Public Service Trade Union Federation, Jathika Adyapana Sevaka Sangamaya, National Estate Services Union, National Health Services General Employees Union and the National Organization for Self Employed.
Parliamentarian Rosy Senanayake was the chief guest while MP R. Yogarajan, K.Velayudam -President of the NTUF, Srinal De Mel - General Secretary, of the JSS,. Ravi Samithadasa - Programme Assistant of the ILO, Manori Witharana - Programme Officer of the ACILS and Keerthi Thennakoon, Director, CAFÉ addressed the forum.
