Rohan to introduce 3D

Fine Vision of teledrama and film director Rohan Welivita is to introduce 3D- Three Dimension technology which is used in the filmmaking and teledrama production.

Director of the famous teleplay in 80s ‘Sumeema’, Rohan Welivita took part in a discussion with 3Ality Company, a leading American 3D films production establishment. Fine Vision has earlier brought other equipment for 3D equipment and at present it is conducting research on filming and editing 3D creations.

“Fine Vision is to get the assistance of the world’s leading five 3D production companies ‘Panasonic’ (Japan), Blackmagic (USA), 3Ality (USA), AV8 (Singapore) and PC Technic (USA) by getting their equipment and technology,” Rohan said.

‘We are planning to start two 3D cinema theatres in Colombo in October while the first 3D film is to be filmed in December,’ he declared. ‘And Sri Lanka will be noted as one of the 10 countries in the world which exhibit films in 3D format.
