CSCT was established in 2009 with an aim to provide quality international education in Construction and Building Services, to the students of Sri Lanka. This is the first and only school in Sri Lanka that provides education purely in Construction Technology and Building Services. The programmes carried out at the CSCT campus are: HND in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics, HND in Construction Management, and HND in Building Services Engineering. These courses are accredited by Edexcel International and the HND in Quantity Surveying is recognized by Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors-UK (RICS) and Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL).

The HND in Construction Management is recognized by the Charted Institute of Builders-UK (CIOB), Students of CSCT can either continue their studies up to the BSc degree offered by Salford University UK, or can enter the construction industry as an HND qualifier after two years of study and a period of industrial training. CSCT has an "A" grading for its HND course in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics and for its HND in Construction Management by Edexcel.
