Huge crowds, Navy show extended

The Naval and Maritime Exhibition being held along the Chaitya Road in Colombo is drawing hundreds of people who are being treated to a display of naval vessels and weapons as well as items captured from the LTTE’s Sea Tiger unit.

The exhibition which marks the 60th anniversary of the Navy began on December 4 and was to end today but due to public demand, the exhibition has been extended till Wednesday. The current school holidays have resulted in many school children visiting the exhibition. The exhibition will open at 10.30 a.m. and go on till 10.30 p.m.
