Applications have been invited for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2011) to be held on May 15 across the country for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the following eleven national-level Law universities including National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) at Kochi.
The other participating universities are National Law School of India University, Bangalore; NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad; National Law Institute University, Bhopal; West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata; National Law University, Jodhpur; Hidayattullah National Law University, Raipur; Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar; Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow; Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala; Chanakya National Law University, Patna. This year CLAT 2011 will be conducted by the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. Five-year undergraduate courses of these universities will include BA LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., BS LL.B. Those who have studied any subject combinations and passed Plus Two examination with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for undergraduate programmes in Law.
Applicants' age should not be exceed 20 years as at July 1, 2011.

OMR application form and information brochure will be issued from January 11 onwards through all CLAT 2011 participating national law universities and select head post offices on payment of Rs.150. NUALS, Kochi, will also distribute forms.
For OMR application by post, candidates must send a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs.200 drawn in favour of WBNUJS- CLAT a/c payable at Kolkata to the Convenor, Common Law Admission Test, CLAT 2011, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700 098. While sending the duly filled-in application, a demand draft of Rs.2,500 have to be attached as entrance examination fee.
The duly filled-in application along with relevant documents should be sent to the above mentioned address so as to reach the addressee on or before April 2, 2011. The CLAT 2011 will be held on May 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The questions will test the applicant's legal aptitude/ legal awareness, logical reasoning, general knowledge including current affairs, English comprehension and Mathematics.
