Most students once they opt for a science course at the undergraduate level find it difficult to secure a job in an IT company. But WIPRO provides students a unique opportunity through its Wipro Academy of Software Excellence course.
The 'Earn while you Learn Programme' was initiated by Wipro Technologies with a vision to create employment opportunities in Information Technology for non-engineering graduates.
MS course
The 4-year MS programme in software engineering equips students with the knowledge to cope with the ever-changing face of the Information Technology revolution.
It is an off-campus collaborative MS. The programme offered through Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, provides an IT platform with exposure to live projects.
Contact classes for 16 weeks are conducted by BITS with four sessions over the weekend, two hours per session.
During the week, students will be involved in working with live projects among various business domains in Wipro to gain first-hand knowledge and training.
The selection procedure for WASE comprises three stages: an aptitude test (verbal/analytical and mathematical), technical interview and HR interview.
B.Sc. graduates in computer science/ IT/ electronics / physics / mathematics / statistics, or BCA / BCM with 60 percent aggregate in graduation and 50 per cent in Class X and XII can apply.
