Corporal Pubudu Ekanayake and Corporal Asanka Pradeep of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) were richly rewarded recently by the Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke in view of their outstanding performance in Beach Volleyball.These two players while representing Sri Lanka at the AVC Xianning Open Beach Volleyball Championship held in China won the Bronze Medal at the contest. The tournament was held from 14 to 17 October 2010.
As a result the Commander has promoted them as Sergeants with immediate effect and granted a gift of Rs. 100,000 to them. SLAF has performed exceptionally in the field of sports in the recent past especially due to the encouragement provided by the air force commander. |
