The UoW-CINEC office at 15 Kinross Avenue, Colombo 4 (Tel: 011 4888606 E-mail- infouow@cinec.edu) , a collaboration of the University of Wolverhampton, UK and CINEC Maritime Campus was officially opened on Thursday May 5 at 10.00 am in the presence of Mr Lucky Wikramanayake, Deputy Chairman, Capt Ajith Peiris, Group Managing Director, Ceyline Group, Prof. N.Rajkumar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, CINEC and Mr Pragyat Singh, Region Head, UoW South Asia Regional Office, India. The launch of this new office is the first step towards the possible establishment of an offshore campus of the University of Wolverhamton in Sri Lanka.
The primary aim of this office is to provide an excellent level of student services through this local representation and facilitate applicants in pursuing high quality degree programmes of the University of Wolverhampton offered at CINEC.
The University of Wolverhampton is associated with CINEC as an official partner in offering BEng degree programmes which are conducted in full at CINEC. This collaboration provides an excellent educational opportunity for suitably qualified candidates to obtain an internationally accredited Bachelor’s degree from UK at an affordable cost. Students are also offered the option to do a part of the programme in UK.
The University of Wolverhampton is a first class university spread over four campuses in the region and situated in the centre of England. It is among the largest in Britain with a student population of over 24,000.
