With only two more counts to go while the top slots of the three groups have remained the same, Hemal Munaweera of Dharmaraja College, Kandy has moved into the third place of the Bata-the Sunday Times Most Popular All Island Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2011, contest.
Munaweera who collected 302 votes with 1406 votes has a slender 180 vote lead over Dasun Shanaka of Maris Stella College, Negombo.As one knows, it is the first three placed of each category that are recognised at the grand finale which will be held in August.
Likewise the last voting coupon of the Bata-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the will appear from May 19 and will continue till Thursday May 26.
