Ten Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, with effect from tomorrow, by the Public Service Commission, on what it officially calls ‘in order of merit’.
This, the PSC said, is in addition to the appointment of SSP K.D.L. Dalpadadu as DIG (with effect from May 25, 2011) strictly personal to him, sans any effect of precedence, and to retire him as DIG with effect from May 26, 2011.
The 10 DIGs are: R.N. Weerasuriya, D.L.S.G.L. Peiris, J. Kulathilaka, T.K.P.De Silva, G. Dissanayake, M.K.D.W. Amarasinghe, W. Abeynayake, R.W.M.C. Ranawana, N.D. Daluwatta and A.R. Waidyalankara. |
