OpenArc School of Business and Technology registration begins for University of Colombo, BIT Degree

OpenArc School of Business and Technology has begun registering students for the Bachelor of Information Technology external degree in the Colombo University. OpenArc, an institution that had been conducting classes for the Colombo University BIT degree for a period of ten years has made arrangements to provide a host of special benefits to students registering with them this year.

Speaking on these benefits, Managing Director of OpenArc School of Business and Technology said, "We are providing a host of special benefits to students registering with us this year. We will be offering 20% discount to students who enrol for the course in the month of July. Classrooms and laboratory facilities of the school are of highest standards; practical training while studying and providing employment opportunities for the best students who complete the programme successfully are some of the other benefits."

Since, OpenArc Group moved to a new six-storied building complex, this year's intake of students would be able to enjoy ultra modern classrooms and extensive laboratory facilities. Another specialty of the OpenArc School of Business and Technology is that students would be able to study under a student-friendly staff with over ten years experience in IT, professional and education fields. Students could join the part-time course that offers classes one day of the week (Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday) or the full-time course that offers classes four days a week. Students of the full-time course have the opportunity to get industrial exposure at the software development company of the OpenArc Group.

OpenArc Systems Management (Pvt) Limited (OSM), a member of the OpenArc Group, is the industry leader in developing software for the merchant banks and finance and leasing companies of Sri Lanka. OSM has computerized many premier organizations in the country and the company is currently involved in computerizing the Leasing systems of Bank of Ceylon, DFCC Bank and DFCC Vardhana Bank. BIT undergraduates of OpenArc School of Business and Technology would get the opportunity to get practical training at OpenArc Systems Management Limited and the best students who complete the programme successfully would get the opportunity to obtain employment at the same company.

OpenArc School of Business and Technology conducts Information Technology, Business Management, Marketing and Project Management courses from Diploma level to Degree level. Being a pioneering institute of conducting classes for the BIT degree programme of the Colombo University, OpenArc students have shown excellent results from the inception of the BIT programme to date.
