New COO at Phoenix Ogilvy

Sudesh Sundhara Moorthy has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Ogilvy, a leading Marketing Communications Corporate in Sri Lanka. Mr Moorthy, is a veteran marketing communications specialist with 15 years of industry experience, 10 of them attached to Phoenix Ogilvy & Mather, part of the prestigious WPP Group.

Starting off his career at Phoenix O&M, as a senior Account Manager, he was and continues to be, a steward for some of the most coveted global and local blue chip brands, such as Coca-Cola, the company said in a statement.

In recognition of the effectiveness of the brands managed by Mr Moorthy, he has also been responsible for several Effie Awards won by Phoenix O&M over the years.

He holds an MBA from Edith Cowan University – Australia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered institute of Marketing – UK. He is currently reading for his Management Accountancy qualification from ICMA - Australia.
