Fortis Global Healthcare Holdings Pvt Ltd. is gearing to build a hospital in the North, officials said.
At the Lanka Hospitals Corporation Plc (LHCL) board meeting on Thursday, where this Singapore-based Indian healthcare giant has 29%, its Executive Chairman Malvinder Mohan expressed interest in sending a team to scout possibilities in Jaffna, an official told the Business Times.
He said that it could be a possible joint venture with LHCL and Fortis. He added that the discussions were positive and that Fortis was keen to put its footprint in the North.
The official said that how Fortis can contribute to LHCL’s medical technology and training was also discussed. |
