Monaragala down reigning champs

An attractive, unbeaten 149 by Suranga with 12 hits to the ropes (who put on 156 runs for the second wicket with Udhara Chathura 38 runs one boundary) enabled Subhagya School for the Blind, Monaragala to score 257 runs for two wickets and trounce reigning champions Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama by eight wickets.

Suranga also put on an unbeaten 100 runs for the third wicket with Sri Lanka cap Chandana Devapriya (38 n.o, two boundaries).

Batting first Ranviru Sevana was all out for 256 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Saman Kumara 38 runs, with 3 boundaries, was the top scorer. Madhuka Jayasinghe bowled best for Subhagya with three wickets for 26 runs and Suranga capped a fine double with two wickets for 34 runs.
