Why Canada?
More than 130,000 students study in Canada every year. Canadians place great importance on learning, and have developed a first-rate education system with high standards. A Canadian degree, diploma or certificate is well-regarded in business, government and academic circles around the globe. Canada has a large selection of universities and colleges located in both urban and rural settings in every region of the country. Canadian universities are largely publicly funded; as a result they are of a consistently high quality, regardless of location or area of study. They offer a broad range of degrees from undergraduate to doctorates. Admission standards defer according to the university you select, each university assesses the qualifications of each applicant individually.
Couple the high quality of education, with the high standard of living, and low cost of living and you have one of the best places to live in. Canada is known for its high life expectancy, low crime and violence rates. The largest cities - Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal - have been recognized as most livable cities, their cleanliness and safety have no parallel as the extensive health care system and social security network play a huge role in this.
From its birth Canada has been a country of immigrants and thus encourages multicultural diversity. International students witness one of the most beautiful, natural environments in the world, from the lush coastline of British Columbia, the majestic Rocky Mountains of Alberta, the big skies of the prairies, to the 'maple sugar country' in the Great Lakes and the picturesque coastline of the Atlantic Provinces.
A wide range of cultural activities are also available, including museums, galleries, live theatre, dance and music performances and concerts.
