Song, dance and Disney

A magical evening of song and dance as your favourite Disney characters come to life and remind you that movies can and do have tremendous influence in shaping young minds.

In the words of animation maestro Walt Disney “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” “Soundtracks” - production put together by the Alethea International School, revolves around Imran, the Genie master, who takes it upon himself to enlighten his rather mischievous genie students Ashane and Serj about the amazing world of Walt Disney animation.

Learning takes on a whole new meaning as the three genies explore the All-time favourite cartoons from their inception to 2011, in which beautiful princesses and charming princes find their happily ever afters; wicked stepmothers are vanquished; good triumphs over evil and strength, courage, honour and love withstand the test of time.

The tiny-tots and the adolescents come together in - “Soundtracks” written by Anitra and Sashien Perera and produced by Anitra Perera, with Dharshika Bandara and Dilsha Firdhouse training the choir and soloists. The dances choreographed by Janardari Salgadu and Krishanthi are sure to keep audiences entertained.

“Soundtracks” will be staged at the Bishops’ College Auditorium on December 9, 2011 at 7pm. Tickets are available at Alethea International School
