Popular band Jayasri, based in Vienna, will be in Sri Lanka for the festive season.
Unfortunately, this year too only Jayasri twins will be in town minus their band. The boys will be in action at few of the concerts in Colombo as well as in Negombo, Galle and Kandy.
‘We are getting ready to come home as usual for the December January season. As you may know our full band tour didn’t work out last time due to some organization issues but we haven’t give up the idea of full JAYASRI band Tour...unfortunately this season will be myself and Rohan only.
But when the right time comes, it will happen’ said Rohitha Jayalath in a special message sent to TV Times readers.
‘The winter closes and we had a lovely summer season in Europe with JAYASRI touring Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Cyprus and so on meeting great international bands and artistes from around the globe’
After the tours they have been in the studio and laid some tracks for their upcoming album.

‘It is happy news to hear some songs are being selected to their playlists and charts. Great to hear that Songs ‘See Dewi’ and ‘Janapada Kalyani’ in Dancehall style are geting good air play in the land of the origin of Reggae music....in Jamaica. Our unique sound, music, performance and winning Austrian World Music Award years back paved us the way to brand our name in the world music scene and also to enter the top International Festivals...it was a long way, when we look back.....and a long way ahead’ said Rohitha .
During the festive season, there will be many concerts and shows where Jayasri will be giving their vibes including Sunday, 4 December guest performance at ‘Rockaway Negombo 2011’ at MSC Auditorium with Untitled and many artistes. Guest Spot on 21 December ‘Summer Jam Reggae’ Festival in Moragalla, Wadduwa with many top Reggae bands.
